A snowy success at the Irish Motorbike and Scooter Show 2019

It might have been snowing and you might have needed your big coat, but even the adverse weather couldn’t deter a record-breaking crowd from heading to the magnificent Irish Motorbike and Scooter Show 2019.

More than 27,000 attendees gathered in Dublin over three action-packed days for Ireland’s premier bike fest – and this year’s event is bound to live long in the memories of all those who made the trip.

Three-time World Superbike champion and Carole Nash ambassador Jonathan Rea was justifiably one of the headline attractions, helping us celebrate our 20th anniversary in Ireland by answering questions in a fascinating interview with Stephen Davison.

And Jonathan wasn’t the only one facing a grilling: American superstar and all-round speed freak Valerie Thompson also chatted about her life behind the wheel, including her seven motorcycle land-speed records and being the first woman to top 300mph in a two-wheeled streamliner.

Non-stop action at the Irish Motorbike and Scooter Show 2019

There were plenty of other attractions, too. From the Classic and Retro Zone – superbly hosted by London’s Ace Café – through to 1000cc off-road racing sidecars, there was no shortage of things to see and do over these magical 72 hours.

The queues were big for the chance to learn direct from Adam Peschel’s team, while the show’s younger visitors were full of laughter and smiles as they tried out Minibike Racing in Ring 3.

Elsewhere, the AMD Custom Bike Show brought together Ireland’s biggest collection of custom bikes, while the Ave Global Stunt Starz show drew gasps aplenty from spectators who soon had their hearts in their mouths.

Getting up close with Guy Martin and the Carole Nash team

As ever, the Carole Nash team was thrilled to meet and greet so many bike enthusiasts from all across the UK, Ireland and beyond. We were even able to start up Guy Martin’s Indian Scout, which went down particularly well with the watching crowds!

The Carole Nash Crew spent three days posing for non-stop selfies. And, as ever, we dished out thousands of our free goodie bags. What a brilliant three days. Roll on 2020!
