Is there a better place to be on a glorious sunny August weekend than Llangollen Bike Fest?
If there is, we haven’t found it – and nor have the 10,000 happy bike fans who spent a day or two in the North Wales hills admiring the metal and machines on display.
Big names on stage
There’s never any shortage of excitement at Llan Bike Fest and this year was no different. Special guests bringing a bit of biking glamour to proceedings included the legendary John McGuiness, just weeks after suffering some serious injuries at the North West 200 in Northern Ireland, BSB champion John Reynolds and British Supersport winner Steve Plater.
Big bikes on display at Llan Bike Fest
The bikes on display at this truly international festival of motorcycling were just as impressive. Among the biggest crowd-pullers were a custom Harley Sportster by Vic and Lin, a BMW R65 custom by Ben Talks, which won the Carole Nash competition, and a Raptor Bike, which came second.
The Steve Colley stunt show had the crowds gasping at his amazing jumps and tricks, while a kid’s bike stunt show kept the little ones entertained and Bike Safe was on hand to remind bikers of all ages how to be safer, better drivers.
There was plenty of airborne fun of another kind with the ever-popular birds of prey display, and the bustling ranks of displays, merch stalls, music and celebs ensured Llan Bike Fest was jumping from dusk till dawn.
Proud sponsors Carole Nash
Carole Nash was proud to sponsor Llan Bike Fest 2018 again and our stand was buzzing the whole weekend. Our team enjoyed the sunshine, chatting about all things bike with visitors and sharing their knowledge and insights whilst giving quotes to all who wanted one! Our free prize draw also generated plenty of attention and the free goodie bags were the usual big hit with visitors.
We’re already excited about heading back to Wales for next year’s event. Hope to see you there!
