Biker heaven at Peterborough Arena
We’re still excited about what happened at this year’s MCN Summer Festival – the memories of two spectacular days in May won’t be fading anytime soon, with glorious weather greeting everyone who headed to Peterborough for this fantastic show.
Thousands of bike enthusiasts soaked up 48 hours of entertainment, from testing the latest bikes to watching incredible stunt action and the Transatlantic Trophy race series, where Chris Walker and the rest of the GB team got the better of Colin Edwards and his American counterparts.
Classic bikes at MCN Summer Festival
The newest bikes were there for everyone to see – and test – but petrolheads took particular delight from the classic bike parades. The National Motorcycle Museum also provided test rides of classic machines, so visitors got a real feel of some iconic motorbikes. And if newer models were more your thing, then the opportunity to test drive the best 2016 newcomers through the finest roads in Cambridgeshire made it a weekend to remember.
Elsewhere, Steve ‘Mr Showtime’ Colley left visitors gasping as he produced a stunt display beyond belief. Spectators both young and old were amazed by his range of stunts – including his signature ‘monowheel’ move.
Bikers of all ages mixing together
Down in the Club Zone, bikers from across the country mingled with like-minded souls who live and breathe for biking. Clubs from every corner of the UK came together to share their passion and show off a fascinating variety of display bikes.
If anyone wanted to splash the cash, then 112 exhibitors in the Retail Zone were waiting with souvenirs, merchandise, riding kit and accessories. For those looking to break the bank, manufacturers including BMW, Ducati, Kawasaki, Triumph, Yamaha and Suzuki brought along demonstration bikes.
Celebrating with Carole Nash
Our Carole Nash stand was busy on both days and it was great to meet so many bike fans. One lucky visitor scooped a GoPro camera package in our prize draw. And hundreds of visitors flocked to get a selfie with the Carole Nash Crew.
We were also on hand to help bring the excitement of superbikes to everyone who visited the MCN Summer Festival 2016, with our amazing insidebikes app powered by Carole Nash. Download it now and experience the thrill of hurtling around Donington GP Circuit on the back of a Ron Haslam Honda superbike.
There’s no denying that MCN Summer Festival 2016 was a brilliant event for bikers and bike fans across the country. So much so, we’re already looking forward to 2017 – we’ll see you there!
