High-octane action and famous faces at the MCN Summer Festival 2019
The weather may not have been on our side but the MCN Festival of Motorcycling 2019 was far from a washout, drawing more than 20,000 visitors from across the East of England and beyond for a fantastic weekend of two-wheeled action!
Over May 18 and 19, bike fans descended on Cambridgeshire in their droves to enjoy all that the East of England Arena had to offer, from live action biking, stunts and test rides to all the latest and greatest kit from top motorcycle manufacturers.
There were some famous faces in attendance, too, including British Superbike star Chris ‘The Stalker’ Walker and Carol ‘Foggy’ Fogarty – the joint most successful World Superbike racer by number of championships.
Racing, riding and all the biggest and best bike brands
Visitors were in for an action-packed celebration of everything bike over the weekend, with many of the world’s top motorcycle brands displaying their newest models at the arena.
Kawasaki, Yamaha, Ducati, KTM, BMW, CCM Zero and Herald were all in attendance, showcasing their finest machines and merch. There were plenty of models to admire over at the MCN Bikes for Sale Live pavilion, too, with both private sellers and dealers doing a roaring trade over the festival weekend.
The arena proudly played host to the biggest test fleet in Europe over the two-day period, with visitors having unrivalled opportunities to try out all the latest machines from the very best motorcycling brands.
Highlights of the MCN Summer Festival 2019
A real highlight of the weekend was the crowd-pleasing, adrenaline-fuelled Indian dirt track racing, which covered a vast array of classes including rookies, juniors and the ever-amusing Hooligan class. Visitors were also left open-mouthed by the equally awe-inspiring daredevil stunt displays from the very best in the bike business, too.
Over at the Club Zone, meanwhile, dozens of prized and polished machines were on display, and bike fans from near and far met up with friends old and new to chat all things motorcycles. To top it off, live bands belted out loads of top tunes over at the CCM stage and, of course, there were food and drink stands aplenty to keep visitors’ fuel levels topped up.
Carole Nash at the MCN Festival of Motorcycling 2019
We were delighted to return to the MCN Festival of Motorcycling for 2019 and there was plenty of interest in our stand. The Carole Nash team was on hand for lots of meet and greets and we gave out hundreds – if not thousands – of goodie bags over the two days!
Our insurance specialists were available across both days to answer everyone’s burning bike insurance questions and we gave out lots of free quotes, too, helping bikers save a packet on their premiums.
Despite the wet weather, it was a weekend we’ll remember for all the right reasons – we’re looking forward to the 2020 instalment already!
