What’s on at the 38th Carole Nash International Classic MotorCycle Show?
If there’s a better way to spend a weekend in April, we’ve yet to find it. Welcome to the 38th Carole Nash International Classic Motorcycle Show, where motorcyclists from across the country gather for a 48-hour celebration of all things bike from Saturday, 21 April to Sunday, 22 April 2018. Join the crowds at Staffordshire County Showground taking in hundreds of trade stands, autojumble plots, club stands and private entry displays. For fans of classic bikes, it’s a must-see event and tickets are already selling fast. It’s not hard to see why.
Pick up a classic bike at the Bonhams auctionIf you’re thinking of picking up a classic bike, the Bonhams auction is a fascinating place to start – but beware, you might have to bring some serious cash. Last year a 1949 Vincent HRD 988cc White Shadow Series-C Project was expected to fetch around £50,000 but eventually sold for £163,900! Alternatively, if you want to see some bikes in action, the Classic Racer GP Paddock is a great place to start. Twice a day famous race machines of the past are fired up and their deafening roars let rip. And the famous Wall of Death will also be making another appearance at the 38th Carole Nash International Classic Motorcycle Show. Run by the Fox family for almost 100 years, the 20ft high vertical wall produces some spectacular shows full of noise, speed and jaw-dropping stunts. You won’t forget it in a hurry!
Get real-life advice for your own restoration project
Elsewhere, the Restoration Theatre will once again give you the chance to pick up some practical tips and advice for your own classic project. Watch up close as a real-life restoration is worked on and explained by some of the country’s leading experts.
There’ll be the usual mix of special guests, too. Previous stars to have visited the Carole Nash International Classic Motorcycle Show include James May, Richard Hammond, Sebastian Vettel, Carl Fogarty and Giacomo Agostini. When you’re done collecting autographs and selfies, why not head outside the Classic Dirt Bike Off-Road Arena and catch demonstrations of some historic machines that ooze nostalgia and class?
Pay us a visit at the Carole Nash stand As proud sponsors of the 38th Carole Nash International Classic Motorcycle Show, we’ll be out in force at the Staffordshire County Showground.
