Many classic car owners belong to a car club, whether it’s a national one or local one, or both. Being a club member has many advantages; if you’re yet to sign-up to one, what’s stopping you?

Below are some of the benefits of joining a local or national car club:

Advice

Clubs are a great way to seek car-related advice and tips from fellow owners. It may be that you need help sourcing some parts for your car, or you may need some tips on how to restore parts of your vehicle, for instance.

Social events

Joining a local club is a great way to meet likeminded enthusiasts who share a similar passion for classic cars. Many clubs organise meetings, events and short breaks – all of which you can get involved in. As well as all of this, many clubs organise supplier and manufacturer talks, where you will have the opportunity to learn more about your vehicle.

Magazines

Many national clubs – and a few local ones – publish a magazine for their members. Generally speaking, these magazines feature up-to-date news relating to the classic car’s make or model, along with tips, advice, and a calendar of relevant, upcoming events.

Shop

Lots of the larger national clubs have a shop on their website, where they will sell everything from clothes and memorabilia to spare parts and hire tools.

Valuations/Verification

Some of the national clubs are able to help you with valuations of your classic car. More specifically, some offer car inspections, which could be particularly useful if you are looking to buy or sell a vehicle.
