Mark George shares his plans for his beloved Ford Sapphire Cosworth before taking us under the bonnet.

“I’m going to restore all the underneath over winter, powdercoat the bottom arms and suspension so it’s the same colour as the top. My mate’s done it and it looks mint.” As he says that you can a picture him, arms crossed, face glowing with pride as fellow enthusiasts coo into an under car show display mirror.  By then the ugly duckling may just have emerged as motorsport’s late-developing graceful swan.”
