Where Manchester went totally mad over motorbikes!
We were on home turf for the fifth year of the Manchester Bike Show, and along with thousands of fellow bikers we went mad for it! With over 1,000 bikes on display, it was an amazing two days of total excitement packed with thrilling stunt shows, live music, entertainment, competitions and a multitude of guest stars.
All the big names showed up at the Manchester Bike Show 2016
Yep, they were all there. Suzuki, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Triumph, Ducati, Victory, Indian, Benelli and Bimota. The big brands were showing off all the brand new 2016 models, and boy was it hard to get to the front of the crowds flocking round them! Lots of stunning ideas to get jaws dropping and eyes popping, including ours.
Famous faces by the truckload at Manchester Bike Show 2016
A whole convoy of stars and their race trucks rolled into town, bringing some of the leading BSB and TT teams. So we all had a rare chance to look inside these awesome vehicles and check out how much highly specialised kit they pack to keep our heroes on the track.
An even bigger thrill was seeing the stars live on stage in the racing area organised by the Auto-Cycle Union, the governing body for motorcycle sport throughout Britain. It was a brilliant demo of the most challenging forms of motorbiking and really got the pulses racing!
What made this year a classic
One huge hall was given over to the Northern Classic Bike Show, which featured no less than 750 mean machines that had us dying to get into their saddles. Rank after gleaming rank of modern, race, classic, dirt bike and streetfighter machines. The pride of clubs and private owners from all over the country, and the envy of the rest of us!
A spot of sport and shopping at Manchester Bike Show 2016
Hands on experiences included the ‘Try our sport’ zone, where the experts from BUMPY were giving tips and tuition in the tricky art of trials riding.
It was also very ‘hands on’ in the retail village, with bikers getting their hands on stacks of great bargains. Leathers, helmets, accessories, parts and services all on sale at brilliant money-saving prices. And not just from all the ever-popular autojumble stalls, but the big brand names in biking.
Carole Nash felt right at home at the Manchester Bike Show 2016
All this excitement was just down the road from our own headquarters, and we made the short trip in our own customised Carole Nash car packed with great goodies to give away on our stand. We also had a free prize draw on our stand and the lucky winner will soon be taking delivery of a fantastic GoPro package!
The Manchester Bike Show 2016 went like a rocket
There couldn’t have been a better place to introduce bikers to our insidebikes app powered by Carole Nash that launched November 2015. The free to download app includes an augmented reality 360O experience where you take a nerve shredding ride around Donington GP Circuit with the Rocket Ron Haslam.
