What types of motorbike insurance cover are there?

When researching insurance for your Victory motorcycle, it’s important to choose a level of cover that suits your needs. There are three types of bike insurance to pick from:

  • Third party: This level of insurance only covers damage to a third party’s vehicle or property
  • Third party, fire, and theft: This policy will also cover your bike if it is stolen or damaged by fire
  • Comprehensive: This level of cover offers all of the above and insures you for any accidental damage to your Victory

What won’t Victory motorcycle insurance cover?

Motorcycle insurance can be invalidated, which means it’ll stop covering you. Basically, any injury, loss, damage, or accident would not be covered if:

  • Your Victory motorcycle is being ridden by an unlicenced biker
  • Your ride is under the control of someone who isn’t named on the insurance
  • Your bike is carrying goods or pillions in a way that compromises how safe it is to ride

You should make a note of any exclusions that apply. Those we have listed are only a few examples, and it’s important that you check your policy wording for more details.
