British motorcycle racer Danny Webb will debut at this year’s Isle of Man TT after signing to ride for Ryan Farquhar’s KMR Kawasaki team, Bike Sport News reported.
Webb is a former Moto3 and 125cc racer, and this year the young rider will participate in the Superbike, Senior, Superstock and Lightweight TTs. Webb commented that he is keen to learn the circuit and understand what it’s like to race at Mona’s Isle.
22 year-old Webb is a big fan of TT and said that he has been to the event many times and has always wanted to participate in it. To work with Ryan Farquhar is a major opportunity, as Farquhar puts out some of the best motorcycles on the grid, Webb said, adding that he would have never turned down such a great opportunity.
After many years in the Grand Prix paddock, Webb’s appearance in the Isle of Man TT will be a big change, but it is something that he looks forward to, the young racer says. Webb does not see his participation in the event as a one-off thing and says that it will take time for him to learn his way around, but he cannot wait to make his debut.
This year’s Isle of Man TT starts on 24 May and Danny Webb is hoping to grab the much desired Fastest Newcomer title, which is currently held by British Superbike racer Josh Brookes.
