With practice week for TT 2026 now underway, BMW has taken the covers off a limited edition version of its lap record holding M 1000 RR, with special graphics and a unique colour scheme paying homage to the iconic road races.
Priced at £43,990, £11,000 more than a ‘standard’ M 1000 RR, there will be just 115 examples of the TT edition made available for sale worldwide, with five of those coming to the UK.
Based on the Competition pack equipped version of the M 1000 RR (a £7,690 option featuring a host of carbon fibre and billet aluminium parts) the 218bhp superbike comes in a matt British Racing Green colourscheme and features various TT-themed graphics, including depictions of some of the course’s right hand turns on the right hand fairing, with left handers adorning the left fairing.

Other detailing changes include a satin chrome aluminium fuel tank, a black Alcantara seat and workshop accessories including a paddock stand, bike mat and bike cover. As you’d expect from a limited edition machine, each one will come with a certificate of authenticity and a numbered headstock.
BMW has chosen to produce 115 examples of the special as a nod to the fact that 2026 will be the 115th running of the legendary race meeting. The company has enjoyed considerable success on the island over the years, with Georg Meier winning the 1939 Senior TT on the company’s supercharged RS 255 Kompressor and Hans-Otto Butenuth taking the honours in the 1976 1,000 cc Production TT on the BMW R 90 S.
In more recent years, the likes of Michael Dunlop, Peter Hickman and Davey Todd have all won TTs on the latest M 1000 RR, and its S 1000 RR successor, while Hickman is currently the outright TT lap record holder – having posted a 136.358 mph lap on a Superstock specification M 1000 RR in 2013.
While the limited edition may be pricy, we’ve no doubt they’ll prove an instant hit with collectors and wealthy TT fans. Best check those numbers and head down quick to your local BMW dealer if you fancy one!
