Honda update Africa Twin range for 2022

Both the Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sports receive some refinement for 2022.

Honda’s Africa Twin range has been a heavy hitter since its inception over three decades ago, with the latest generation model selling by the bucket load since it hit the market in 2016. And after gifting the range some pretty hefty updates in 2020, Honda have upped the ante once again, gifting their Africa Twin range a few nice revisions, both for performance and aesthetics.

The first noticeable thing is a bolder look with the new colour schemes, which although isn’t exactly ground-breaking, is a sweet evolution from the previous models. They’ve then given both models with an aluminium rear carrier as standard, while the Adventure Sports model now benefits from a new 110mm lower five-stage adjustable screen – which Honda tell us improves visibility, without affecting the weather protection.

If you opt for the DCT version of either machine, you’ll find that Honda have been working seriously hard to refine the feeling at slower speeds. This is thanks to revised timings within the system, which have optimised smoothness of pulling away in the lower gears – especially so in first and second gears.
