Losail has been dropped from the provisional 2010 World Superbike Championship Calendar, with the championship reducing to just 13 rounds next season.
The Qatar round does not feature in the 2010 schedule, which will start with a trip to Phillip Island on February 28.
The British round of the championship takes place on August 1st at Donington Park, with no indication that the scheduling for that round could be affected by renovation work at the circuit.
Portimao will host the second round of the championship after two years of hosting the season finale, which will now take place at Magny-Cours on October 3rd.
Circuits listed but still to be confirmed are Valencia on April 11th and Imola, which is subject to homologation.
