Motorcyclists’ Christmas gift guide

Marc the Magnificent

Love it or loathe it, Christmas is coming and the season of festive joy and goodwill also brings with it the same old dilemma – what present to get for the motorcycling mad relatives in your life?

And although it’s easy to assume that ‘anything motorcycling’ will bring joy and happiness we also all know that a rubbish book or Harley calendar isn’t quite what they had in mind.

There’s also the problem of budget. So, while a brand-new set of tyres for around £300 or a £1000+ trail riding adventure in the Picos may appeal, they’re also more than likely too pricey to be realistic.

Which is where this guide comes in. Our experts have taken a long look into what have been the most popular (and highly rated) motorcycling gifts from around a hundred quid down to a tenner, sussed out the most recent, best-selling and highly rated items and applied a degree of skilled objectivity and expertise to identify the most broadly-popular festive biking gifts – so you don’t have to. In other words, they’re all stuff that we’d love, too!

So, with no further ado are our Top 10 Christmas biker present recommendations for 2025, in price ascending order. Maybe there’s something here that will make it onto you Christmas list, too!

Sportsbikeshop Christmas beanie hat, £9.99

Personalised Christmas beanie hats and pullovers have become a big thing in recent years so it’s no surprise that the UK’s leading motorcycle online retailer has now jumped on the bandwagon to offer both for Christmas bikers. This year Sportsbikeshop is not only offering a biker themed polyester Christmas sweater featuring what looks like Santa riding a Triumph Rocket 3 (for £29.99) but also a matching blue knitted beanie hat with pompom for an even more affordable £9.99. It’s in 100% acrylic polyester with a double layered knitted design for extra warmth and is machine washable, too. Go on, you know you want to…

Oxford Biker Toolkit, £19.99

Every biker loves a handy-sized toolkit that you can carry with you and there are none better (or more highly rated) than those from Oxford Products. Last year we highlighted the UK firm’s top selling (and rated) Toolkit Pro, with an RRP of £39.99, but this year we’re picking out its far more affordable standard version, which is normally just £19.99, although we found it at £15.98 through Sportsbikeshop. It comes in a handy zippable pouch that’s designed to fit under the seat of most bikes and contains 28 pieces including wire cutters, needlenose pliers, Allen key set, screw/socket driver handle with extension bar, socket set, screw bit set and two electrical screwdrivers.

Held Evolution T-shirt, £19.95

We all love a classy, branded T-shirt, whether for wearing under you bike gear or just lounging around the house, and this one from reputable German clothing brand Held is currently the best seller and most highly rated on Sportsbikeshop. Called ‘Evolution’ it’s in black and made from 100% cotton. It comes in a variety of sizes for men and women and it’s graphic humourously depicts the evolution of man from ape to… you guessed it, biker!

RST winter biker socks, 4-pack £24.99

Socks are a staple Christmas present for many so you might as well give (or get) some that are designed for bikers.

And if you are looking for popular, highly rated and good value as well, none score as highly on all counts as these from leading British motorcycle clothing brand RST. For £24.99 (£22.49 from Sportsbikeshop) you get a four-pack of mixed colour, cotton, thermal socks in a variety of sizes which are ideal for wearing under your bike boots. Who said socks for Christmas was boring?

Marc the Magnificent book, Mat Oxley, £29

It wouldn’t be Christmas without the prospect of giving (or receiving) a book so this year we’ve picked out what we reckon are the two best motorcycling books of the year – as long as you are a bikesport fan. Leading MotoGP journalist Mat Oxley’s latest offering is this biography of new MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez.

The large format hardback tells over its 250 pages the complete story of the Spaniard, from being a mini-bikes to the youngest-ever MotoGP champion in his rookie season; six further MotoGP crowns from his first seven years in the class then his revival after breaking his arm five years ago to once again dominate MotoGP. It’s also claimed to be the only Marquez biography to include revelations from the man himself, as well as key people involved in his career, from team bosses to crew chiefs, engineers to his mechanics and of course his rivals.

Alpinestars black neckwarmer, £29.99

A penny under £30 may sound like a lot for a ‘mere’ neckwarmer, but this one’s not only from revered Italian brand Alpinestars, it’s also a best seller and the highest rated one on Sportsbikeshop. The polar fleece comes in black, one size fits all, is super comfortable and warm, features moisture wicking and a classy, subtle Astars logo.

Knox men’s leather belt, £34.99

Another Christmas staple that can also be had in a ‘biker’ style. We pretty much all use belts at one time or another so why not put a classy, premium, versatile and highly rated biker style on your Christmas list. Made by reputable brand Knox, this is a classy, soft leather belt made in the UK claimed to be cut from the highest quality leather. Designed to fit perfectly with Knox jeans it’s available in four sizes and a variety of colours each finished with a Knox branded gunmetal buckle and presented in luxury ‘craft’ packaging.

Rukka Mark thermal set, £44.99

Another winter biking staple, so why not use the excuse of Christmas to get the best? These two-piece thermal ‘undies’ are by top winter biking brand Rukka and are the top rated and best-selling examples on Sportsbikeshop. They are lightweight and practical for all year use, made from 100% polyester, feature moisture wicking, are claimed to keep their shape from wash to wash and available in five sizes. Best of all, they’re also currently on offer at Sportsbikeshop for £39.99, a £5 saving over RRP.

Motocourse 2025 book, £54.50

We mentioned earlier that we were picking out two biker books this year and, after Mat Oxley’s Marc Marquez biography we couldn’t leave out the definitive motorcycle sport annual Motocourse. Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, Motocourse remains the ultimate MotoGP and motorcycle racing annual. As ever it’s a large format (240mm x 320) hardback cover with over 300 high quality glossy pages of superlative images from the leading MotoGP photographers and editorial from motorcycling's most respected journalists.

Editor Michael Scott and Neil Morrison supply full reports on each Grand Prix, and Matt Birt brings us his usual run down on the comings and goings of each of the 11 squads. There’s also full coverage of WorldSBK, the Isle of Man TT and British superbikes. It’s not cheap, but this year the publishers are also promising delivery from December 15th for pre-Christmas delivery.

Dainese hoodie, £109

While finally, and most expensively, for 2025, what biker wouldn’t love a classy, quality ‘hoodie’ from premium motorcycling clothing brand Dainese? This example from the classy Italian brand is made from 100% cotton, has an elasticated hem and cuffs, a full-length zip, drawstring hood and large (but subtle) Dainese logo print. It’s available in three sizes and, best of all, although normally £109 we found it at Sportsbikeshop for a very tempting £81.75!
