Royal Enfield take the wraps of their new, urban 350cc machine

RE Hunter 350

It’s fair to say that Royal Enfield have had an incredible time over recent years, with their 350cc machines selling by the absolute bucketload. And now, for 2023, there’s a new addition to the range: meet the Hunter 350.

Using the same basic platform as the hugely popular Meteor 350 cruiser, the Hunter 350 is a more of an urban retro machine and features a redesigned chassis for a sharper ride.  The Hunter 350 has a shorter wheelbase and sharper head angle for a more intuitive ride, while the engine has been slightly tweaked to be more responsive on the throttle. It’s also significantly lighter too which should make it feel a lot more agile, complimented by the addition of 17” alloy wheels, 41mm forks, a six-step adjustable shock and a twin piston front brake caliper that stops a 300mm disc.

As far as tech goes, although the Hunter 350 comes equipped with an LCD dash, the turn-by-turn navigation we loved on the Meteor 350 is an optional extra. It’s a budget machine, and the only other electronics you’ll find is dual channel ABS.

The Hunter 350 will be available from the end of this year in a range of colours. Royal Enfield have been very sharp with their pricing, so expect it to offer great value for money, especially compared to its A2 competition.

Keeping the Meteor fresh too, Royal Enfield has announced an additional three colour options, giving the best selling bike an unprecedented 10 factory colourways. The premium ‘Supernova Red’ colour is joined by Fireball Blue and Fireball Matt Green (nope, we’ve never seen blue or green fireballs either), meaning that there is something to cater for almost every prospective Meteor rider’s taste.
