Thrills aplenty at the Munster 100 Cork Motorcycle Road Races

For the first time in six years, the Munster 100 Cork Motorcycle Road Races are back in action – and we can’t wait! There’s a new course to test the riders’ mettle and anticipation is building among bike fans all across the island of Ireland.

In 2013, this breath-taking race attracted 6,000 spectators. And with just a few weeks to go, organisers are already expecting double that figure to turn out in 2019. It looks like being one of the race events of the year!

Saddle up for a mouth-watering weekend at the Munster 100 Cork Motorcycle Road Races

The start of this redesigned course sits perfectly at Killalough Cross. From there, it’s a 4.6km dash to complete a single circuit in a counter-clockwise direction. There’s an all-out blast to Annacarton before a sharp left takes the riders back towards Crush. Finally, it’s a long, straight stretch back to the start of the lap and the cheering crowds in the paddock.

And there’s not just two days of racing to look forward to. Biking fans look certain to make a full weekend of it, sharing stories and laughter with friends from across Ireland and the UK thanks to extensive camping facilities that open from 5pm on Friday 2 August, just 4km from Crush. Camper vans will also be able to pitch up in the paddock.

For anyone travelling from Great Britain, Irish Ferries are offering a 20% discount with the code ROADRACE for any online bookings made at www.irishferries.com for travel from either Holyhead (to Dublin) or Pembroke (to Rosslare).

Visit the Carole Nash stand for a chance to ride away with a fantastic prize

Carole Nash is delighted to be sponsoring the final race of the weekend – the Carole Nash Grand Final at the Munster 100! Each day we’ll also be headlining the Carole Nash Rider of the Day award, as well as sponsoring the Rider of the Race in the Carole Nash Grand Final.

We’ll be pitching our famous Carole Nash tent right in the heart of the paddock, so make sure you pop along and say hello. We’ll also have plenty of banners out and about along the sides of the course, so you won’t be able to miss us!

Come and have a chat and we’ll answer any questions you have about getting the best possible insurance deal for your circumstances. You never know, you might even land one of our famous Carole Nash goodie bags or €250 towards your car or bike insurance… We’ll see you there!
