A weekend of breath-taking adventure at the Skerries 100 Road Races 2019
What a first year for Carole Nash to sponsor the Skerries 100 Road Races 2019!
Two superb days of racing – Saturday with the practice runs, and Sunday with the main events – showed everything that is special about this event and why it has been going for more than 70 years.
For 48 blistering hours, the tranquillity and calm of the surrounding area is transformed by some of the bravest and most skilful riders on the circuit. As they tore around the track, spectators were left stunned by the speed and precision of the rides and their all-guns blazing approach to these world-famous races.

As always, this year’s event was exceptionally well organised. From the moment the crowds started arriving in Skerries, it was clear there was plenty to keep them occupied across the course, riders’ paddock, grandstands and other viewing areas.
That’s at least one reason why there was such a great turnout. And a special guest appearance from Guy Martin also had the crowds flocking! Guy has his own history in the Skerries 100, so it was an emotional return for the world-famous mechanic-turned-racer-turned-TV star.
From food vendors and ice-cream men through to celebrity autographs and selfies, there was always something to do even when the races were not in full throttle.

Our thanks go to everyone at Loughshinny Motorcycle Supporters Club for putting on what will long be remembered as a tremendous effort. We’re certainly still talking about it in the Carole Nash offices!
Our Carole Nash tent was busy from start to finish, talking to people about motorcycle insurance and handing out hundreds of our free goodie bags. And the winners weren’t just restricted to the races. One lucky visitor – Stephen from Dublin – walked away with a €250 voucher redeemable against any Carole Nash bike or car insurance policy!
We’ll see you all again in 2020. We’re counting down the days already!
