August – Classic Car Events Roundup

Make the most of the summer before it’s over for another year by heading out to some of these great classic car events in August – hopefully the sun will be out so you can take the top down on your vintage motor to celebrate the end of the season.

August 8th

Mini In The Bay – Cardiff, Wales

Mini-lovers shouldn’t miss out on this annual free event organised by the Cardiff Mini Club – hundreds of classic and modern Minis converge in the beautiful Cardiff Bay for a car show and charity fundraising run over the Cardiff Bay Barrage.

Harrogate MG + Friends 2015 – Harrogate, North Yorkshire

This year sees Harrogate MG Club host its 30th annual show for car enthusiasts and owners of all makes and models from across the UK – with over a thousand vehicles expected for the event, this is one not to be missed! Saturday will get the weekend kicked off with a short run and BBQ – with a Wild West fancy dress theme – and Sunday is show day. Camping is available, so why not make a weekend of the North’s largest MG show?

August 16th

Mini in the Park – Podington, Northamptonshire

It’s a great month for Minis – head down to Santa Pod Raceway for the UK’s top Mini show! More than a thousand Minis of all shapes, sizes and ages converge for Mini Concours, Run-What-Ya-Brung racing, Club displays, trade stands and autojumbles, a win-a-Mini competition and loads of Mini-themed action and entertainment. You can also head down the night before for the pre-show party and camping to really get into the festival spirit.

August 22nd

Tatton Park “Passion For Power” Classic Show – Knutsford, Cheshire

Tatton Park’s 28th year sees a new name for the event, to reflect the high-performance calibre of the classic cars on display! Over 2,000 motors will be heading down for an action packed weekend, with over 70 concours trophies and 12 club stand awards handed out on each day. A massive autojumble and trade area, club displays and high-end dealer showcases will provide plenty to keep any classic car-lover occupied. And if that wasn’t enough, a new Supercar Paddock makes its debut this year! If you’ve got a passion for power, then don’t miss out on one of the UK’s biggest shows.

August 30th

Knebworth Classic Motor Show – Knebworth Park, Stevenage

This year sees the 25th anniversary of the annual Knebworth Classic Motor Show – a truly legendary event for all classic car fans with over 2,500 vehicles in attendance. With an autojumble and trade stands, vintage fair, and all of the attractions of Kenbworth Park’s gardens and adventure playground included in the ticket price, there’s something for the whole family. Make the most of the bank holiday weekend with this fantastic day out.
