Darling Buds Classic Car Show: 6 July 2014

classic-mini-event.jpg

This year’s Darling Buds Classic Car Show will take place on Sunday, 6 July at the Darling Buds Farm in Bethersden, Kent. This is a fantastic day-out for all the family, with over 900 classic cars expected to attend. There will be over 50 trade stalls and plenty of other entertainment taking place throughout the day.

Now in its 19th year, the event welcomes all pre-1990 makes and models, and this year there will be a dedicated ’80s’ zone.

The event owes its name to its location, being the set of the popular television series “The Darling Buds of May.”

In terms of entertainment, there will be a vintage fair, an appearance from the Woodchurch Morris Men, a Punch & Judy Show, arts and crafts, and a children’s area. There will be lots of local traders at the event, along with numerous food stalls and a licensed bar.

Organised by the Rover P5 Alice Club, the Darling Buds Classic Car Show is a non-profit event, with any proceeds being donated to the Kent Air Ambulance and Demelza House Children’s Hospice. Last year, donations reached an impressive £20,272, which was split evenly between the two charities. The grand total of money raised from the event stands at £90,438.

Entrance for one car and all passengers is £12 in advance and £15 on the day. Entry for bikes and pedestrians is £5 for adults and £3 for children and pensioners. The show opens from 10am-4pm. Follow this link for tickets and more information click here.
