Viewers of the TV series American Chopper will be well aware of the family feuds that turn the air blue in the garage of Orange County Choppers but it seems that those feuds are now spilling over into the courtroom, with Paul Teutul Sr suing Paul Teutul Jr for $1m in damages.
Reports from the States suggest that Paul Senior is looking to exercise an option that he believes allows him to purchase Paul Junior’s shares in Orange County Choppers Holdings. The younger Teutul however seems reluctant to give up his stock and has so far rebuffed the approach.
Teutul Sr has since filed a lawsuit with the Supreme Court of New York in an attempt to get a court order forcing Jr to give up his stock. The lawsuit is also seeking $1m (£617,000) in damages.
The pair have previously had a fiery relationship on camera as well as off it, with Paul Jr being sacked from Orange County Choppers at the start of season six, only to reappear later in the series.
