This year’s Carole Nash MCN London Motorcycle Show was bigger and better than ever before, with thousands of enthusiasts descending on the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in London for a three day event jam-packed with displays, demos, biking celebs and high-octane shows.

The weekend got off to a flying start with Foggy Friday, where legendary World Superbike Champion Carl Fogarty greeted excited crowds to talk about his time competing in the WSB. Fogarty was reunited with his string of winning Ducati bikes, and was re-awarded with his lost 1995 ‘Man of the Year’ trophy.

The show paid tribute to the great Mike ‘the bike’ Hailwood, displaying a range his bikes, clothes and trophies, along with his Ford GT40 sports car. Mike’s Son, Dave, and wife Pauline both gave emotional talks about what it was like living with the biking legend. Fans also had the opportunity to hear Hailwood’s Honda 500/4 being fired up. And it didn’t disappoint.

TT legends Michael Dunlop, Philip McCallen, Ian Hutchinson and John McGuinness graced the Sports and Performance stage to talk to fans about racing in the Isle of Man. Over at the Adventure stage, Nick Sanders spoke about his world-record circumnavigation of the globe, while TV presenter Charley Boorman dropped by to give a BMW riding skills demo and Q&A session with the crowd.

There were some great ‘how to’ demonstrations from Hogfather, Fred Krugger and Shaws Harley-Davidson at the custom stage, while David Silver Spares spoke about restoring classic Hondas at the Classic stage.

The world’s largest motorbike manufacturers showcased their latest bikes at the show. Ducati, BMW, Honda, KTM and Triumph all displayed their shiny new 2014 models, as did Harley-Davidson, Victory and Yamaha.

And of course there was the Revolution live action show. Hoards of onlookers gathered to watch the two teams battling it out, led by TT greats Michael Dunlop and John McGuinness.
