Motorcycle Live, Britain’s biggest bike show, is back this November – and the organisers are looking for the country’s best customs to go on display at the main stage.
Called Motorcycle Live Ace Builds, the competition can be entered by visiting the decicated website and uploading images and a short description of the bike and build process. The organisers have set some strict rules for the competition: the bike must be based on the chassis of a manufacturer that’s exhibiting at the show, the bike must be built in the UK, it must be road legal and the entrant must be the owner of the bike.
All entries will be reviewed by an expert panel consisting of Motorcycle News’ Richard Newland, Build and Classic Bike Editor Gary Pinchin and Anthony van Someren, co-founder of London’s uber-cool Bike Shed. They will shortlist the semi-finalists, but the final four bikes to be displayed at the show – which takes place at Birmingham’s NEC from 18-26 November – will be voted for by the public. The ultimate champion will be decided by show visitors, with the winning owner receiving £1000 in vouchers, as well as an all-important trophy, bragging rights and an opportunity for their bike to take part in a photoshoot.
