A new line of communication devices has been unveiled at INTERMOT by Sena Technologies, a manufacturer that specialises in Bluetooth products for the motorcycle and outdoor activities markets.
New products for 2015 include the 10C, 10U and 3S communication systems, joining the company’s existing devices which include the 20S, Prism and Bluetooth Mic and Intercom. Sena says its new offerings feature the latest technology and design to meet the needs of motorcycle riders, powersport enthusiasts, outdoor adventurers and everyday explorers.
The Sena 10C combines a motorcycle Bluetooth camera and communication system and can be controlled with voice prompts and voice commands. The built-in camera has a 1080p:30fps video mode and single, burst and time lapse photo modes. The video bloggers amongst us can record voice to their video and if you want to talk to other riders the 10C has four-way intercom communication with a range of up to 900 metres. The headset also features noise cancelling technology, music sharing, an FM radio tuner and smartphone access and control.
Sena’s 10U device is a motorcycle Bluetooth communication system with handlebar remote which is designed for premium helmet brands including Shoei and Schuberth. It fits into the helmet ear pockets and offers the same intercom, voice command and other features as the 10C.
And for entry-level riders or those new to Bluetooth communication devices, the Sena 3S is a Bluetooth 3.0 stereo headset and intercom that allows users to call hands-free on a Bluetooth mobile phone, listen to music and have two-way conversations with a passenger or other riders.
Pricing for the 10C and 10U has not yet been announced, but the 3S is available for $99 (£61).
