Classic cars that feature in the James Bond films will be on display for all to see at the ‘Bond in Motion’ exhibition at London Film Museum, Covent Garden, from the 21st of March, BBC News London has reported.

The 50 cars that will be on display at the museum will either be the originals or the exact replicas that were used for stunts in the films’ action-scenes. The line-up will include the classic white Lotus Esprit, which doubled up as a submarine for The Spy Who Loved Me, along with the Aston Martin Vanquish V12 from Die Another day, the Rolls Royce Phantom III from Goldfinger and GoldenEye’s Aston Martin DB5.?As well as cars, the exhibition will also feature miniature models, action sequence boards and props from the films.

Originally just a character in a novel, Ian Fleming’s Bond was brought to life by the cinema, with each film being defined by the classic cars that featured in them. The latest Bond film, Skyfall, made a whopping £103 million at the box office, which set it firmly as the biggest earner in UK film history. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see a 1/3 scale replica of AgustaWestland’s AW101 helicopter that featured in Skyfall.

The exhibition will open from the 21st of March and will run Monday-Sunday from 10am to 6pm (with a later closing time of 7pm on Saturdays). For more information and for tickets, visit the museum’s website:
