Future Classic Bike Insurance

Sometimes you just know, from that first rev of the engine, that the bike you’re riding will one day be considered a classic. The design, the engineering and the performance are streets ahead of the competition, calling to mind the free-spirited thrill of the early days of motorcycling.

Even if your bike isn’t quite old enough to qualify as a classic just yet, there are still options available to you if you intend to keep it on the road for years to come.

If it’s over ten years old but below the 20-year old mark necessary for a Carole Nash classic bike policy, then a future classic motorcycle insurance policy through Carole Nash could provide the cover you need.

A future classic policy includes additional benefits for bikers serious about keeping their two wheels covered for the long term.

You may benefit from a low excess, agreed value and salvage retention rights if your bike is written off following an accident.

If you own a bike that’s over ten years old, and you think you could benefit from a future classic policy, don’t hesitate to call Carole Nash on 0333 005 3355.

Or check out a regular motorbike insurance policy.

Platinum – Our base level of cover includes features such as EU cover, a 24 hours a day seven days a week Emergency Accident Helpline, new bike replacement, and more. You’ll also get Motor Legal Cover and European Breakdown Cover, including At Home Assistance.

What are the different types of motorbike insurance cover?

When you’re considering insurance for your motorbike, it’s important to select cover that suits your needs. There are three types of bike insurance to choose between:

  • Third party: only covers damage to a third party’s vehicle or property.

  • Third party, fire, and theft: also covers your bike if it is stolen or damaged by fire.

  • Comprehensive: includes all of the above whilst also insuring you for any accidental damage to your own bike.

What won’t motorcycle insurance cover?

Your motorcycle insurance can be invalidated in some circumstances. For example, any injury, loss, damage, or accident would not be covered if:

  • Your bike is being ridden by an unlicenced rider
  • Your bike is being ridden by someone who isn’t insured on it
  • You are carrying a pillion or goods in a manner which affects how safe your bike is to ride

You must familiarise yourself with these exclusions. We have only listed a few examples above, and you should check your policy wording for more details.

How much will insurance for my motorbike cost?

Unfortunately, we can’t answer this question here because your premium will be based on a number of factors. These factors range from your chosen cover level and riding experience to the model of your bike and how you store it.

  • Sign up for advanced rider training to improve your skills - this may earn you a discount with some insurance providers
