The La Vie En Bleu Prescott Hill Climb Is Set To Be An Exhilarating Event

As 2018 is a big year for classic cars, we’re keeping track of all the important events that are happening throughout the year. The La Vie en Bleu Prescott Hill Climb held in Cheltenham is sure to be one of the most exhilarating events, especially with the inclusion of a brand new Bugatti Chiron. As the successor to the Veyron, the Chiron is being billed as the most powerful supercar in the world, clocking up a speed of 261 mph. As the star attraction, the Chiron will be carrying out regular demonstration runs over two days. There’s also the chance to win a ride in the Chiron and enjoy a once in a lifetime kind of thrill ride.

The event will host many more beautiful cars, including a Bugatti Veyron Supersport, Veyron Pur Sang and the original modern Bugatti, the EB110. Racer Duncan Pittaway is also making an appearance in the unique 1911 Fiat S76 land speed record ‘Beast of Turin’ car. The motor features a monstrous 28.5-litre Fiat S76 engine that outputs 300 bhp. The fact that fire sprays from its exhaust definitely means the car lives up to its nickname. Pittaway has raced the Beast a number of times, with him putting an impressive performance at the Goodwood Circuit last year.

The paddock will be packed with the finest French and Italian cars in the world, with special competition classes taking place. For example, the Ferrari Hillclimb Championship will feature the most impressive vehicles from the Italian manufacturer competing for racing glory. British racing fans will also have the chance to be part of a special class for ERA voiturettes, which features the legendary ex-Raymond Mays R4D. There’s also a chance to see an ERA E-Type for the first time as well.

La Vie en Bleu is about more than just cars as the La Vita Rossa event celebrates the beauty of Italian music. This will be combined with a range of acts, including Frank Sinatra tribute ‘One Man Frank,’ the Oyster Opera, French Chanson, Gypsy Jazz and much more.

With so much going on, La Vie en Bleu will be one of the most memorable classic car events of the year. Advanced tickets are available now and can be bought for £15 for a day or £25 for the weekend. Gate prices are £20 for a day and £35 for the weekend.
