A classic car event to look forward to is the Land Rover Legends event, taking place on May 26th at Bicester Heritage. Some of the greatest Land Rovers in history will be on display for classic car enthusiasts. Three of the rarest cars to appear have been revealed as a 1981 Land Rover in Vogue, a 1990 Range Rover CSK and a 2000 Range Rover Linley. All of the cars are special editions that have unique stories.

Range Rover in Vogue

This 1981 Range Rover was the company’s first trek into the world of luxury and fashion. Land Rover partnered with Vogue magazine in order to create a buzz around a new features on the two-door Range Rover. The partnership culminated in an eight-page advertisement called Rendez-vous a Biarritz that featured the ‘In Vogue’ Land Rover alongside Jaeger’s spring fashion collection in 1981.

The In Vogue Land Rover was sold in the UK and abroad. It came with a special Vogue Blue paint, double pinstriping, walnut door capping, a radio cassette player and picnic hamper. The car that’s appearing at the event has just 25,000 miles clocked on it.

Range Rover CSK

There’s an argument to be made that the CSK was the first sport production Range Rover. Named after Range Rover creator Charles Spencer King, it was a limited edition model that came in Beluga Black. The CSK was developed to publicise the new anti-roll suspension and came with a 3.9 litre V8 engine. Standard equipment included a six-speaker stereo system, electric windows, heated door mirrors and an advanced four-wheel drive ABS braking system.

Range Rover Linley

This car was the most exclusive and expensive Range Rover ever made. Introduced in 1999, it was only available as a special order. Sold in excess of £100,000, the Linley embodied a luxury lifestyle that could be seen in the design.

It had piano black coachwork that was hand-polished for a mirror finish. 18 inch multi-spoke alloy wheels had a unique ‘Shadow Chrome’ finish. The interior had a similar colour scheme, featuring a luxurious carpet and immaculately trimmed leather seats. It also came with an on-board TV and VCR player.

All three cars will be on display at the Land Rover Legends event, and tickets are available now.
