As we restock our lofts with an array of Christmas decorations and the bin man collects what seems like a year’s supply of wine bottles following our New Year’s celebrations, it’s time to start looking ahead to what’s going on in the world of classic cars this year.
Starting in January, we’ll be highlighting just a few of our favourite events that are taking place throughout the country each and every month. Kickstarting things in 2016, here’s what we’re looking forward to this month.
January 10th – Wirral to Llandudno Mini Run
With engines firing up in Bromborough on the Wirral, January 10th will play host to one of our favourite runs of the year. From here, a stream of Minis will make their way towards Rhos-On-Sea before switching off for a few photographs in Llandudno later in the afternoon. Although it’s organised by the Wirral Mini Owners Club, this event isn’t exclusive for members only – although all entrants are encouraged to purchase a run plaque before entering.
January 10th – Malvern 4×4 Spares Day and Autojumble
Didn’t get that special part, tool or spare in your Christmas stocking? Worry not – if you’re a 4×4 or Land Rover enthusiast looking for a certain nut, bolt or shaft, chances are the Malvern 4×4 Spares Day and Autojumble will see you right! Situated on the Three Counties Showground in Worcestershire, you’ll be able to enjoy a full day of bargain hunting for as little as £6.50 per head. Sorted!
January 12th – Ace Café Classic Car Night
As we’ve said time and time again, when it comes to celebrating classic car culture, there ain’t no party like an Ace Café party! Situated only a stone’s throw away from London’s North Circular in Wembley, on January 12th the team at Ace will be hosting a night dedicated to classic motors – with a special visit from the Lotus 7s and Midget and Sprite Club scheduled!
January 31st – Mini Fair at Bingley Hall
Ending the month in a similar fashion to how it started, Minis are the order of the day at Bingley Hall on January 31st. Now in its 17th year, the Mini fair is an indoor event that attracts thousands of enthusiasts year after year. Advance tickets can be purchased for as little as £10 while tickets on the day will be £12 – there’s also a 200 seater restaurant on site, meaning fans can refuel at any time during this awesome event.
