Car S.O.S Exhibition Opens At British Motor Museum

The British Motor Museum in Gaydon has one of the most impressive classic car collections in the world. It’s been made even more impressive by the recent introduction of a new exhibition from Car S.O.S. The show features Carole Nash ambassador Fuzz Townshend and Tim Shaw restoring classic motors from around the world. Now in its sixth series, there have been over 60 cars restored on the show.

The exhibition is showcasing seven cars rebuilt on Car S.O.S: An Aston Martin DB6, Ford Capri RS3100, MGA, Volvo P1800, Lancia Delta Integrale, Austin ‘Tilly’ truck and AC Aceca. The truck, Delta and Aceca all appeared on the most recent series. Clips and graphics from relevant episodes play alongside each of the cars, highlighting the challenges that Fuzz and Tim faced during the restorations. Personal stories from the owners of the cars are shown as well.

Fuzz and Tim were joined by car owners, friends, family and production crew for a private opening of the exhibition. Stephen Taylor Woodrow, the producer of the series, said “The Car S.O.S team are over the moon with the exhibition – we get so many requests from viewers asking where they can see our cars so this really is a perfect opportunity. The fact that the exhibition is at the British Motor Museum makes perfect sense – having been at the venue for two of our reveals, we have built up a good relationship with the team there and knew the cars would look amazing.”

“Speaking on behalf of Tim, Fuzz, the workshop crew and of course the owners who have generously lent their cars, we all know this is one exhibition Car S.O.S fans will not want to miss!”

The exhibition is open until the end of February 2019 and is included within the museum entrance fee. For more information be sure to visit the British Motor Museum website.

We’d like to congratulate Fuzz and Tim on their ongoing success and have no doubt the collection is worth visiting.
