If you’re a Lamborghini fan, one of the best places to visit is the Lamborghini Museum in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Bologna. The museum has an eclectic mix of motors and a new exhibition has introduced some fantastic models. The ‘Film Emotions’ exhibition features the most famous Lamborghinis in the history of film. From the Aventador to the Miura P400, we’re listing five of the best cars on display.
Miura P400 from The Italian Job
A highlight of the exhibition, this Miura P400 is a tribute to the car used in The Italian Job. The original car was driven by actor Rossano Brazzi and met its end in the St Bernard Pass during the opening sequence of the film. With an orange paint scheme, sleek body and thick wheels, the Miura recaptures the glory of The Italian Job.
Lamborghini Countach from The Cannonball Run
Based on a cross-country outlaw road race, The Cannonball Run came out in 1981. The race was held between Connecticut and California, with a noteable car being a green Lamborghini Countach. The one on display in the museum is an excellent reconstruction. The original was driven by actors Tara Buckman and Adrienne Barbeau.
Aventador from The Dark Knight Rises
An important car of the collection, the silver Aventador was featured in The Dark Knight Rises. The vehicle’s aggressive design made it stand out. According to Michael Lock, COO of Automobili Lamborghini America “they had a very specific requirement: this Bruce Wayne vehicle has to sit in the Batcave and not look like a plain Jane. There are very few cars in production that can pull that off.”
Huracan Coupe from Doctor Strange
In Doctor Strange, Benedict Cumberbatch drove a Lamborghini Huracan Coupe, which was chosen by director Scott Derrickson. Powered by a naturally-aspirated V10 engine, the Huracan is one of the most powerful cars of the exhibition.
When describing how the Huracan relates to Doctor Strange, Chairman of Automobili Lamborghini, Stefano Domenicali said “much like many Lamborghini owners, Doctor Strange is a bold, ambitious and pioneering character who reaches beyond the realm of the ordinary and thrives in any situation, despite the challenges ahead.”
Jalpa from Rocky IV
Seen in Rocky IV, the Lamborghini Jalpa was the perfect car for Rocky Balboa. The car had a sharp, angular appearance and matt-black paint job. Rocky drove the Jalpa after Apollo Creed was killed in the ring by Ivan Drago. The overall style matched the state of Rocky’s mood and elevated the scene.
